As a research fellow and academic specialising in health, nursing, and midwifery, my primary focus is on conducting research that contributes to the improvement of clinical practices, lifestyle interventions, and healthcare policies.

After completing my Bachelor of Nursing in Egypt with outstanding academic performance, I started my career in academia and worked as an Associate Lecturer and studied a Master of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing with a research focused on antenatal complications associated with obesity. I developed a passion for research and I was fortunate to secure a full scholarship to pursue my Ph.D. in Australia.

Since completing my PhD, I have worked on a number of research projects and bring expertise in mixed-methods research; leveraging quantitative and qualitative techniques to collect data and then managing the integration, analysis and evaluation of data. Expertise also includes systematic reviews, rapid reviews and meta-synthesis and aggregation.

Across my clinical, academic, and research career, I have developed strong national and international collaborations. My research has informed policy and clinical interventions and I am excited to continue using my skills to collaborate with like-minded people and impact health and wellbeing outcomes.
