SAHMRI will celebrate National Science Week 2022 by opening our doors to the public on Sunday, 14 August.

You're invited to explore SAHMRI and meet the people who are dedicating their careers to finding solutions to the biggest health challenges facing us all.

Find out why your genes are they key to better healthcare, how South Australia's only cyclotron can diagnose and treat cancers, and how you can be involved in medical discoveries that help us live longer and live better.

Tours of the Cheesegrater will begin every 10 minutes from 10am, taking you past SAHMRI's laboratories, to the top level where you can take in panoramic views across Adelaide BioMed City and showcasing our variety of medical research equipment including our cyclotron, which produces radiopharmaceuticals for cancer diagnosis and treatment 365 days each year.

After your tour you will be free to roam across two levels within the Cheesegrater, discovering the enormous range of research SAHMRI undertakes while chatting to the people who do it.
