The Three Plans
The Consortium has produced a series of Aboriginal specific diabetes video resources, featuring members of a variety of rural and remote South Australian Aboriginal communities talking about their diabetes story, highlighting the challenges and the successes. Each video also features different health professionals (including Aboriginal health professionals) providing background information and explanations about diabetes and the necessary measures to manage it, in language that is appropriate for Aboriginal people.
Aboriginal Diabetes Video Resources
The Consortium acknowledges and thanks the rural and remote Aboriginal community members, and the diabetes and health professionals whose participation has made these videos possible. We would like to thank the videographer, David Wilson, and interviewer, Angie Llewellyn for travelling around South Australia to capture Aboriginal community members lived-experience of diabetes. We would also like to thank Jules from Dada for editing the suite of diabetes videos.
This suite of diabetes video resources has been made possible by funding from Country SA PHN.
