Doctor Tamara Varcoe

Dr Tamara Varcoe is Manager of the Preclinical, Imaging and Research Laboratories at SAHMRI. She has over 20 years’ experience conducting preclinical research in a variety of small and large animal models.

After working as a laboratory and animal technician for many years, Tamara returned to undergraduate and graduate studies, completing her PhD in the School of Paediatric and Reproductive Health at the University of Adelaide in 2008. Her research focused on the role of circadian rhythms in regulating diverse physiological processes including reproduction, metabolism and the programming of adult health and disease.
