Hayley Parkinson

Dr Hayley Parkinson obtained her PhD in Medical Science at the University of Adelaide. Her PhD focused on identifying novel genes involved in multiple myeloma tumour formation and dissemination. Throughout her PhD she was involved in myeloma consumer group meetings which motivated her to apply her cancer research background to the clinical research space. 

She is now cross appointed at the Women's and Children's hospital and SAHMRI, where she is coordinating four paediatric brain cancer clinical trials. She also assists in patient recruitment and specimen processing for South Australia’s first Paediatric Brain Tumour Biobank. She is passionate about ensuring paediatric brain cancer patients have access to new, cutting-edge treatments, to improve their survival and long term outcomes.
