    Cedric Bardy is a Professor and ARC Future Research Fellow at Flinders University in South Australia and the Group Leader of the Laboratory for Human Neurophysiology and Genetics located at SAHMRI. Prof Bardy is also the Founding Director of Brain Organoid Therapeutics.

    Cedric's research focuses on advancing stem cell biotechnologies to understand and cure neurological disorders. In particular, he is the inventor of BrainPhys; a neuronal medium broadly used to culture human neurons in vitro.

    Cedric grew up in the South of France and obtained a PhD in Medicine from the University of Sydney in 2008. He pursued his postdoctoral training at the Pasteur Institute (2008-2010) and the Salk Institute (2011-2016). He moved back to Australia in 2017 to establish an independent research group at SAHMRI and Flinders University.
