GEL-E

Genomic and Epigenomic Predictors of Late Effects in Long Term Survivors of Paediatric Brain Cancer

GEL-E
Project Status: In progress
Project administered by: SAHMRI

This project will apply the latest molecular and sequencing technologies to a large collection of archived and prospectively collected paediatric central nervous system tumours with matched clinical data to identify both clinical and molecular factors associated with adverse patient outcomes.

By annotating and interrogating this unique archive of material using modern research tools and linking the data obtained to real-world data government databases, this project aims to:

  1. Generate a population-based reference library and research platform that will be used to identify both clinical and molecular factors associated with survivorship.
  2. Utilise this resource to foster future research into various exciting fields including but not limited to implementation of artificial intelligence to improve diagnostics and imaging.
