Sarah is the Research Support Officer at SAHMRI responsible for the Histology laboratory, consumable store, and clinical trial processing. From 2016 she has inducted and assisted researchers in the use of histology equipment (processor, embedder, microtome, and cryostat). In addition to training, Sarah is responsible for the day-to-day management of histology which includes admin support of SAHMRI’s booking system ACLS, maintenance and calibration of equipment, reagent preparation, and the ongoing development and review of SOPs and risks in the laboratory.
Sarah also oversees consumable store operations at SAHMRI, which involves the procurement of commonly used goods and negotiating pricing for the institute with our key suppliers.
