Mikaela Doig is a Research Associate in the Paediatric Neuro-Oncology team, cross-appointed at SAHMRI and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She is working on the development, testing, and integration of radiogenomics into the diagnostic workup and treatment planning for children with brain tumours.

She is also a Research Radiation Therapist at the Australian Bragg Centre for Proton Therapy and Research, developing machine learning models to enhance paediatric radiation therapy planning.

Currently completing her PhD at the University of South Australia, Mikaela is developing a electronic patient-reported outcome platform to integrate quality of life assessment into paediatric oncology routine care. As part of her PhD, she spent three months working as a Visiting Researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Mikaela holds a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Radiation Therapy) (Hons) from the University of South Australia and has six years of experience as a Radiation Therapist. As a clinical researcher, she is dedicated to translating research into practice to advance precision medicine and personalised care for children with cancer.
