Daniel McDonough

Mr Daniel McDonough is a Kaurna man from Adelaide plains South Australia. Daniel is a passionate researcher and had worked across several projects e.g., Population Health and Ageing and currently transitioned to Adolescent Health & Wellbeing. Mr McDonough is focused on developing a greater understanding of the social and cultural determents of health for Aboriginal communities.

Mr McDonough has conducted foot health research, including the development of new innovative device to measure ankle joint dorsiflexion, and published reliability study. Also published on the evaluation of health websites from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective.

Daniel has over 10 years’ experience in the disability sector for the Department of Human Services, experienced with various roles in management and being an advocate for people with Disabilities. Currently Daniel is Studying a Master of Public Health (MPH) and completed a Major Research project investigating the use of Medicinal Marijuana for complications of Cerebral Palsy. Daniel is a student representative for Indigenous students from the NIKIRI institute on the Faculty of Health committee.
