Leukaemia expert recognised in prestigious award

Congratulations to Professor Deb White, Director of Cancer Research and Deputy Cancer Theme Leader, who has been selected as a recipient of the 2016 James McWha Award of Excellence. 

This award recognises outstanding alumni who have graduated from the University of Adelaide within the past 15 years and are making a significant contribution as emerging leaders within their profession or their community. 

Professor White is internationally recognised as an expert in translational leukaemia research and an expert in the development of biomarkers to guide the development of new anti-cancer drugs. 

“It is both a tremendous surprise and a great honour to be selected as a recipient of the James McWha Award for 2016 - there is nothing better than being recognised in your own State by your own Alumni,” Professor White said.
