Summary

Part-Time (0.8FTE), 12-Month Contract

At the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), we are committed to achieving innovative, ground-breaking health and medical research that fundamentally improves the quality of life for all people.

In this role as Data Assistant you will be working for SAHMRI to support The Australian Orthopaedic Association’s National Joint Replacement Registry (AOANJRR). Your main duties are to perform data entry, data cleaning, scanning and filing of data forms submitted to the registry.

About the role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurate and efficient data entry of AOANJRR clinical data
  • Log receipt, organise, scan and file data submitted by contributing hospitals
  • Under the direction of data managers, perform data cleaning tasks including submission of queries to contributing hospitals
  • Active participation and contribution to team meetings

About You

The successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:

  • Demonstrated typing speed of 70wpm
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Able to work independently
  • Demonstrated experience in high volume data entry of clinical data
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with organisational policies and standard operating procedures
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong focus on timely, accurate delivery of work
  • Demonstrated high level of written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team, effectively build relationships and establish rapport
  • Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in health science or similar
