COVID-19

COVID-19 has quickly become the defining health and societal challenge of a generation. It is a disease that is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus which reached pandemic proportions in early 2020.

In the early days of the pandemic, SAHMRI swiftly redirected resources to combat the disease and its fallout. The institute began more than a dozen projects, including clinical trials, evidence synthesis work to inform public health policy and a multi-layered wellbeing program to address mental health challenges.
