Dr Samira Khabbazi

Dr Samira Khabbazi completed a M.Sc in Molecular Medicine at University of East Anglia, United Kingdom, in 2012. She then moved to Brisbane, Australia, where she competed her PhD at the University of Queensland in 2017. Under the supervision of Associate Professor Marie-Odile Parat, Dr Khabbazi studied the modulatory effect of morphine on tumour cell-macrophage interactions in the context of cancer. As of September 2022, she has published 16 research and review article in reputable peer-reviewed journals including Angiogenesis, Critical Reviews in Oncology/Hematology, Journal of Cellular Physiology, Scientific Reports, FASEB, and ACS Chemical Neuroscience. She started as a Research Officer in the Prostate Cancer Research Group, led by Professor Lisa Butler, in 2017 at the University of Adelaide. Dr Khabbazi is now the Australian Prostate Cancer BioResource State Coordinator (SA) in the Prostate Cancer Research Group.
