    Matt is a Yamatji Malgana man from Gathaagudu, Shark Bay, Western Australia. Matt is a 2nd generation product of the Stolen Generations and grew up primarily on the East Coast of Australia on Guringai land on NSW’s Central Coast. He has a background in Dietetic Medicine and has primarily worked with Aboriginal communities for most of his adult life including delivering Deadly Choices programs to youth in Meanjin, facilitating nutritional workshops in East Arnhem Land, facilitating foster and kinship cultural awareness training, cancer prevention education. Matt now works at the Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity Theme at SAHMRI, where he is involved in a project focused on co-designing resources to help Aboriginal people and their families navigate their health journey when experiencing amputation. Recently Matt has been accepted into Flinders University post-graduate medical program and will undertake his studies in 2025.
