    Jacob Truong

Jacob is a third year PhD student with the Prostate Cancer Research Group looking at the changes in distributions and abundance of lipids and metabolites in clinical prostate cancer tissues. Jacob sits in a unique research space, employing a molecular imaging technique called Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionisation Mass Spectrometry Imaging (MALDI-MSI) to measure and identify hundreds of molecules directly from patient samples. The major objectives of his PhD are to discover a panel of molecular markers that are associated with disease outcome and treatment response.
