Dr Christianna Digenis is a psychologist and post-doctoral research fellow at Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity at SAHMRI and is an Adjunct Fellow at Adelaide University. Dr Digenis is currently working on an Aboriginal-informed System Connector Model for ageing well.

Dr Digenis' previous research work has focused on:

  • Co-designing a quality monitoring survey tool for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women for the National Cervical Screening Program.
  • Better understanding the health priorities of children and adolescents; and developing trauma-informed service responses for young people.
  • Examining enhanced recovery care with next-day discharge after caesarean section including women’s experiences and psychosocial characteristics as well as health providers perspectives.

Dr Digenis' clinical background involves working in rehabilitation settings including respiratory, amputees, stroke, geriatric, and general medicine. Previous clinical internships have included the Department for Education and Child development and the Centre for Treatment of Anxiety and Depression.
