    Dr Christianna Digenis

    Dr Christianna Digenis is a psychologist and post-doctoral research fellow at Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity at SAHMRI in the Social and Emotional Wellbeing Program. Dr Digenis is working on better understanding the health priorities of children and adolescents and developing trauma-informed service responses for young people.

    Dr Digenis' previous research work has focused on examining enhanced recovery care with next-day discharge after caesarean section including women’s experiences, psychosocial characteristics, and outcomes; and health providers perspectives. She has also worked in numerous research positions including at Wirltu Yarlu and the School of Psychology both at the University of Adelaide.

    Dr Digenis' clinical background involves working in rehabilitation settings including respiratory, amputees, stroke, geriatric, and general medicine. Previous clinical internships have included the Department for Education and Child development and the Centre for Treatment of Anxiety and Depression.
