Proud Adnyamathanha and Kuyani woman, Akanisi is currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing and working as a Research Assistant in Aboriginal Health Equity. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to community wellbeing, culturally safe care, and supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices in health research.
