The Registry of Senior Australians (ROSA) Research Centre (https://rosaresearch.org/) established in 2017, was designed to monitor the health, service utilisation, medication use, mortality, and other health specific outcomes of people receiving aged care services. ROSA’s efficient model leverages existing information, bringing together diverse datasets collected by different organisations throughout the country, to provide us with a whole picture of the ageing pathway. ROSA produces evidence to guide decision-making for quality, coordinated, efficient, innovative, and age-friendly services and practices.
The ROSA Research Centre is seeking a highly motivated Research Administration Officer to join their team, providing high-level administrative and research support to the ROSA Director, Associate Director and broader research team. The Research Administration Officer will support the team with meeting coordination, maintaining up-to-date records of ROSA administrative needs and research outputs and general administrative tasks to enhance communication and efficiency across projects.
About the role
Key responsibilities include:
- Schedule and coordinate ROSA Advisory Committee and other governance committee/project-specific meetings, minutes, and action items.
- Maintaining relationships and coordination with local aged care assessment sites and teams for the delivery of necessary documentation for ROSA.
- Manage and process participant withdrawals from the ROSA (email, phone, and letters).
- Provide general research administration support for research team. This includes team meetings (e.g., book meetings/rooms, schedule invites, agendas), finance (e.g., prepare expense reports, submit invoices, schedule payments), and IT matters (e.g., order new software/computers for the team).
- Manage the ROSA Hot-desk phone, email, and calendar. This includes handling general ROSA enquiries as well as receiving and processing participant withdrawal requests in a professional manner and maintaining accurate, confidential records.
- Assistance in the development and implementation of ROSA-related communications and materials (e.g., newsletters, reports, infographics) both internally and externally.
- General support for the consumer and industry engagement of ROSA activities. This includes organising/setting up meetings, providing required documentation (e.g., agendas, minutes), assistance with presentation preparation, processing Consumer representative claims.
- Provide support to the ROSA Director/Associate Director in drafting reports to funders and other research administrative requirements.
- Manage the ROSA team’s ongoing projects, grants, and documentation in various platforms, including in-house documentation, NHMRC/SAPPHIRE and PURE.
- Support with the submission and dissemination of ROSA outputs including scientific publications, including coordinating the submission of manuscripts and reports as needed from the ROSA Director/Associate Director.
- Contribute to literature reviews, drafting research presentations, posters, reports, assisting with grant applications and proof-reading research documents.
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:
- Degree qualification in a relevant field with relevant experience.
- Honours qualification is desirable.
- Meticulous attention to detail; methodical with excellent record keeping skills.
- Demonstrated experience in providing high level support to research projects and research staff/teams.
- Highly motivated and can prioritise workload and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, seeking support when necessary to complete the task.
- Ability to work in a team, establish positive relationships and rapport effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound time management skills.
