Summary

South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), a leading health and medical research institute located in the heart of Adelaide’s biomedical precinct has a well-established reputation in the conduct and independent oversight of local, national, and international phase 1b to IV clinical trials, spanning diverse therapeutic areas including but not limited to cardiovascular, nutrition, gastroenterology, medical device, musculoskeletal, immunology, renal and metabolism.

SAHMRI's Clinical Trials Platform provides comprehensive professional services and support for researchers and industry sponsors throughout the clinical trial lifecycle.  Join us in providing your medical oversight and expertise to support clinical trials at SAHMRI. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your medical expertise to cutting-edge research and make a real difference in patient care.

About the role

We are seeking GPs and Specialists to provide medical oversight on clinical trials that are conducted at SAHMRI by acting as the Principal or Sub-Investigator.

What we offer:

  • SAHMRI can match you with clinical trials that align with your interests and expertise
  • Assistance will be provided to you to obtain the necessary training and Good Clinical Practice certification at no cost to you (a series of online modules that can be completed at your leisure and equate to 10 hours of CPD)
  • Flexible work schedule – you can nominate your available working days/times (Monday to Thursday)
  • Supportive working environment with a competitive compensation of $200/hour (excl. GST), billable on a per hour basis
  • Onsite car parking will be made available for you when you are required in clinic at SAHMRI

What we're looking for:

  • General Practitioners with experience, or a desire to gain experience, as clinical trial investigators (as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator)
  • Current registration with the Australian Medical Board
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care to clinical trial participants
