On September 9, more than 30 medical research institutes across Australia united for Medical Research Giving Day, with SAHMRI raising funds to fast-track clinical trials and help create real impact, sooner.
Breakthroughs don't only happen in the lab. They happen because everyday people choose to back them, through a donation or by putting their hand up to take part in a trial themselves.

The treatments we rely on today only exist because research made them possible, but many conditions people face right now still have no cure, limited treatment options, or outcomes that need to improve.
Clinical trials are the last, vital step that turns a discovery into something that can actually help a patient. They give South Australians access to emerging treatments closer to home, without the need to travel interstate and every trial depends on funding, infrastructure, and people willing to take part.
