Project Officer

About the role

As Project Officer, you’ll support the ROSA Director and research team to deliver high-quality research focused on ageing, aged care and health services. You’ll work with stakeholders across SAHMRI, Flinders University and external partners.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct high-quality literature reviews, including synthesis and appraisal of evidence
• Coordinate day-to-day activities for assigned projects, including schedules, meetings and deliverables
• Draft and contribute to manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals
• Support dissemination of findings (presentations, reports, stakeholder updates) as required
• Monitor and report progress against project milestones and key performance indicators
• Assist with grant applications and supporting documentation where appropriate

About You

The successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:

• Degree qualification in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience (a health sciences discipline is highly desirable).
• BSc or MSc, with 2 years of experience as research officer or a related role.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication, record keeping and version control
• Experience providing administrative and operational support within research projects and multidisciplinary teams
• Well-developed planning and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and seek guidance when needed
• Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills; able to build effective relationships
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills; experience with online ethics and research management systems
