Eleven SAHMRI research leaders have been honoured as standing among the very best in the world.

SAHMRI Board Chair the Hon Hieu Van Le AC says being named in the Stanford University / Elsevier Top 2% Scientist Rankings is a tremendous honour.

“Our researchers who have earned this accolade, and the hard-working teams behind them, should be very proud to receive recognition for the contributions they are making to science and to creating healthier futures,” Mr Le said.

“This is a great honour for SAHMRI, highlighting the world-class standard of our research but also the breadth of disciplines our community has expertise in and the breadth of conditions we are working to overcome.”

The SAHMRI researchers named on the list work across the spectrum from basic science to clinical trials and target a range of health issues including preterm birth, perinatal nutrition, leukameia, chronic pain, kidney disease and gut health.
