Staining Facilities
The staining area comprises a fume cupboard and two staining stations. One houses xylene and ethanol series for dewaxing and dehydration/rehydration, and the other station is used with the provided stains (H&E and Oil Red O).
DPX and Aquatex mounting media, magnetic stirrer with optional heating, a scale, and disposable weigh boats are also provided, however, researchers must supply their own slides, coverslips, and any other stains they wish to use in this area.

Training and induction
Researchers must complete a general Histology induction or have completed an induction on any Histology equipment before they are granted laboratory access and can book this equipment.
