Jeff Ellison AM

Jeff Ellison was appointed as a SAHMRI Board Director in January 2025. 

He is a Chartered Accountant who has enjoyed a distinguished governance career in the tourism and transport industries and with a focus on finance and economics.

Currently the Chair of Hayborough Investment Partners, Mr Ellison formerly served as Chair of ASX 200-listed company Kelsian Group Limited from 2020-2024. Prior to that he spent more than two decades as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of SeaLink Travel Group, which is now part of the Kelsian Group.

Mr Ellison joined SeaLink after eight years in private practice as an accountant. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants ANZ and the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is Life Member of the Tourism & Transport Forum (TTF) Australia.

In 2013 Mr Ellison won the SA Tourism Award for Outstanding Contribution by an Individual, and the following year earned the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year prize for the Central Region.

Board positions that Mr Ellison has held include Tourism Australia, the Adelaide Convention Centre, TTF Australia, SA Tourism Commission and South Australia’s Botanic Garden and State Herbarium.
