Margaret McCallum

Margaret is a proud Aboriginal woman with more than 25 years’ experience in the Aboriginal Health and Community sectors. She has completed the Governor’s Leadership Foundation program and is known for her drive, collaboration, and values-based leadership.

Having held various managerial and senior strategic roles in organisations such as SA Health, SA Housing Trust, and Community Housing, Margaret possesses extensive expertise in public sector systems, strategic policy development and workforce strategy. She has established strong working relationships across Government and non-Government sectors and has served as a long-standing member of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of SA and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia.

Margaret’s journey began as a Peer Mentor and later as an SA Scouts Leader, fuelling her passion to empower individuals to reach their full potential while addressing systemic barriers. As the Program Lead Capacity Development, Margaret brings a wealth of knowledge, passion and dedication to serving her Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
