Julia Scott

Julia is a final year PhD student in Professor Lisa Butler’s Prostate Cancer Research Group. She completed a Bachelor of Advanced Science from The University of Adelaide of Adelaide in 2017. She then moved to Flinders University in 2018 to complete an honours year in the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer under Professor Janni Petersen, investigating the role of mTOR signalling in exosome release from breast cancer cells. In 2019, she began her PhD here at SAHMRI, with a focus on lipid metabolism in prostate cancer, specifically the role of fatty acid elongation in controlling prostate cancer disease progression.
