We are looking for a dedicated Recruitment Coordinator to join our fantastic HR Team. You will be the central contact for us helping to manage and lead the recruitment activities for the institute.

About the role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administer end to end recruitment processes via the recruitment module in HRMS
  • Manage the central ‘careers@sahmri.com’ mailbox and respond to queries in a timely manner
  • Evaluate and review position descriptions for all positions being advertised
  • Deliver expert coaching and advice to internal stakeholders on immigration, recruitment, position description creation and on-boarding.
  • Assist the HR Business Partners with conducting remuneration benchmarking for positions being advertised
  • Provide monthly recruitment reports and other ad hoc reporting
  • Assist the HR Business Partners with the VISA and Immigration processes for International new starters to SAHMRI
  • Maintain guides to provide to international recruits in relation to moving to Australia
  • Coordinate continuous improvement to SAHMRI’s Careers Website to ensure a comprehensive and positive ‘first impression’ experience for perspective employees
  • Coordinate and continuously improve the SAHMRI school work experience program (2 x yearly programs)
  • Coordinate SAHMRI’s Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Talent Register and work with SAHMRI’s RAP Officer, Platform Capacity Development Lead and Indigenous Collective to ensure frequent engagement with applicants to this register

About You

The successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:

  • Certificate or degree qualified in Human Resources
  • Previous experience working within a Human Resources position, in particular, recruitment is an advantage
  • Experience in writing compelling position advertisements that promote EVP
  • Excellent knowledge of best practice recruitment processes
  • A passion for recruitment and delivering a positive candidate and stakeholder experience
  • Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), Modern Awards, Discrimination Act and Immigration processes
  • Ability to foster trusting relationships with stakeholders and provide timely and accurate advice
  • Experience in using a HR Management System or Recruitment system (or equivalent)
  • Highly driven, ability to multi-task and motivated with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to multi-task and work both collaboratively and independently
  • Some knowledge or experience in reviewing position descriptions and undertaking remuneration benchmarking.
  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
